I was banded on March 9th. My problem is the pain at the port site. How long did it take to recover from the surgery?:help:

When it's all new, it's easy to feel like you've pulled something every time you move more than you did the day before.

Band wisdom is that if the port area is not red, or hot, or oozing anything...give it a couple of days. If it IS red or hot or oozing anything, contact your surgeon ASAP.

thank you, it is just as you say just real sore. it is hard to know what normal is if you never have been through it. thanks!

I'll be 2 weeks banded this Thursday. I'm going to say this past weekend was the first time I truly felt up to par. I could certainly get around, work, sleep, etc. before then, but could only say I was 90% or so. Saturday I felt back to myself, but a little tired.

Breaking it out a little more, I had surgery on a Wed and the first three days really hurt to get out of my chair, any kind of sitting up, but I could walk. Day 4 or 5 I noticed I could do stairs w/o it hurting. A day or so later it no longer hurt to walk. Now bumps in the road don't hurt. It's like each day, I realize something else that doesn't hurt anymore. :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
