kerica2876 1 Posted July 3, 2012 Hi! I am new to the forum and trying to learn as much as possible about the Lap Band. I'm scheduled to attend a pre-surgery seminar with Dr. Curry in Cincinnati on July 25th. I'll be doing self pay so I'm a little nervous about how much pressure will be put on me to schedule too soon. Also, worried it might go the other way and I won't be as desirable a patient as someone with insurance. My goal is too lose 100 lbs. Hope to meet a lot of new people on the forum and learn as much as possible.

kerica2876 1 Posted July 4, 2012 Yay! I'm feeling more comfortable with my decision already just by reading this forum. My family isn't very supportive so being able to get so much info and talk freely without judgement has been a big relief. I'm looking forward to hearing more about eveyone's journey and sharing mine with all of you.
Devans 8 Posted July 4, 2012 I was banded by Dr Curry on may 14, and he and his staff our great. I was self pay also and they don't put any pressure on you. They leave it up to you to pick the date. I wanted to do it soon, so I did my consult and pre op diet within a month and surgery. 1 kerica2876 reacted to this
