Recommended Posts

This may sound crazy to some but....I have tryed brussel sprouts again today for lunch a small piece of fish and 2 sprouts...well i could only get half my meal eattin befor i felt the OMGOODNESS feeling starting.....so I stopped eatting and I did ok.......so my question is this...if i have one sprout with every meal (knowing its gonna give me that STOP feeling) is that ok...till I get to my green zone...or is tht just asking for more problems....thanks

i would stay awake from food you know cause you to get stuck..i love brussel sprouts but if they get stuck i have to leave them alone..right now my band is too tight(goin in for a slight unfill soon), so i would welcome any solid food that didnt get stuck!

Actually, Dee, it makes sense to me and I would use the brussel sprout. Not sure that is the "right" way, but I don't think it can hurt, so why not?!

Actually I think it can hurt to do that. You will be continually aggravating your band and causing irritation and swelling. Long term that can only be a bad thing. Why risk a slip, erosion, reflux... just a few of the things that can go wrong.

I understand the desire to try and make it easier. But it is not worth risking long term damage to your health. Instead, concentrate on cultivating healthy eating habits.

Good luck!

I agree with poster that said purposely trying to irritate the band seems like a really bad idea.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
