carol285 145 Posted July 1, 2012 I am in my later 40's so my period does what the hell it wants already so not sure if the band contributes! However, I can say now that my fill level is higher I can't eat as much during my period, just always feel a bit fuller during it. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
jennifer1 180 Posted July 1, 2012 Haven't noticed a change in flow per se...but my band is definetly tighter during that time. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Skinny_Jill 36 Posted July 2, 2012 When I have good restriction my band would be tighter during my period. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
HolliJ 24 Posted July 2, 2012 Nothing has changed with the flow.... But my band does get tighter.. November of last year I got an unfill because I thought my band had slipped because I couldn't eat/drink. I believe it was really because I was swelling from my period. A month ago I got a fill. I'm on my period now and I've noticed I've been tighter. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

bnoff 3 Posted July 2, 2012 ok thought something was werid this week' date=' glad to know this might be just due to my period will have to watch it after my period.[/quote'] To those of you whose bands get tighter during your period: how donyou manage a whole week with a super tight band? My daughter and I were banded same day. I am not having this problem she is. food get stuck, she throws up repeatedly, then her stomach is more swollen. Last night she couldn't keep Water down. But she doesn't want an unfill because she knows in a few days she will be back to normal. Meanwhile how is she supposed to stay hydrated?..
carol285 145 Posted July 2, 2012 I don't have a problem with liquids or soft food during my period, but must be careful with solids. I have bought a lot of high Protein yogurts/puddings & shakes from the health food store for these occassions. Your daughter may just be very irratated now and may very well need a small unfill If not next month maybe she can stick to soft foods or liquids during her cycle.
