Green Zone In 10 Cc Bands?

Recommended Posts

I to have a 10 cc band with 7.5 cc fill so far and I can eat way more then I shoud be able to....I make good choices....but I wish a 1/4 would fill be....I can eat 2 cups of salad easily....but I know we will get there...so hang in !!!

My PA told me that if u was eating salad I could expect to eat 2 cups. This being because the lettuce and such chews to mush equaling about a cup of food.

I have 7.25 cc in my band. It's comfortable for me. I was at 7.5cc and I was bringing everything back up. I really can eat most anything I want but stress' date=' anxiety, time of month, alcohol consumption and so on make my band so fickle! Good luck!

Hello bandsters!! I have 5cc's in a 10cc band and feel no restriction. I was at the doctor on yesterday and told him i felt no restriction; however, since i lost 11lbs in a month in a half he wouldn't give me more.

I have a 10cc band. Only 1 time did I get over 5 cc, and then was back within 2 days having .5 taken out. I am very sensitive, and finding restriction was quick. On the other hand, my son, who also has a 10 cc band has 9cc and is finaly restricted, real good. I think that he is too tight but he doesn't want to ask the surgeon to back it off a little. So as someone else said, restriction is personal to your body! Best wishes, Karen

Finally finally i have found restriction at 8.5cc. This is awesome - now i know what everyone has been talking about when they said you will know it when you hit your sweet spot.

I had my 7th fill this week. 6.6cc in a 10cc band. Very little restriction. Sometimes I think I am almost there, but I can eat way too much. down 24lbs since 2/2/12. My stomach is growling as I type. I am not there yet...

I guess I'm really lucky! I have 3.25 cc's in a 10 cc band. I have to eat soft foods very slowly. I might even be a little to tight, but I'm not going to tell on myself! I can get liquids and soft foods just fine. Tightest in the morning. I'm in my "green zone" now. Can't eat a lot of things now, but that's good for me. Can't do breads at all, very little Pasta, and no rice. Since those are my weaknesses, this is a great thing for me! But I do miss being able to eat as I used to. But that's what got me to being so fat in the first place. My tool is really helping!

For those who "think" they have restriction believe me when you finally hit that green zone you will "know' you have restriction. I kept thinking "this is it" everytime i had a fill and then just kept on eating almost the same way. When i had my last fill and finally really did have restriction i knew it - there was absolutely no doubt about it. Keep getting your fills and you will absolutely have no doubt when it happens. It took me a long time and am soo glad it has finally happened.

I am so glad to see this post. I have a 10cc band and I am at 6cc's. I have an appointment tomorrow and am wondering what the criteria is for getting a fill. I've had good restriction, but, I don't know if I'm in the green zone or not. I am losing close to 2lbs. a week. I feel really good. I have learned to slow down, chew more and stay away from foods that get stuck.

I guess everyone is different, right? Wish me luck tomorrow:)

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
