18 lbs down, 11 days post op

Recommended Posts

its amazing to feel lighter after 11 days. I seem to be doing well. Tonight is the first night I went out for 2 hours. We went for a long walk and to GNC for more Isopure. Well the truth is I feel so tired and run down, not a bit of energy. Im still slow walking since my tummy is swollen and tender. Im hoping that this is normal. Im taking all my Vitamins and getting in my mush foods. Some people say surgery itself will run you down. I just want to start to get active, But am I really rushing things? Sorry for all the questions but this is all so new to me and I have learned so much in the past few months and thank you all for you support to my daily questions!

I think it's normal to feel tired after surgery, especially after your first trip out. I'm about 11 days post op, too...and am still feeling somewhat tired out but a bit stronger each day. I wouldn't worry if I were you...but if you're concerned, you should ask your surgeon at your post op appointment or call his/her office.

yes, I was so weak that I couldnt even lift a cup of coffee for myself on day 3 after the surgery, it took about a week for me to recover and feel normal again, then again, normal for me at over 400lbs was in a constant state of exhaustion anyway lol, but it goes, also hardly eating doesnt help. Ive found that if I get a time when I feel weak or tired, a few tins of slimfast over a day or so sorts me out, the effect is immediate for me. within half an hour of drinking a tin of it Im full of energy again, no doubt its the carbs.

your 18lbs off is amazing CONGRATULATIONS
