Mara005 70 Posted June 29, 2012 I'm so sorry! I'm feeling the same way, I still have to be banded and then I want to wait at least a year, so I'm hoping for a 2014 baby. I hope you get down to your goal ttc weight soon so that you can start getting it on
Wisdom2KnowTheDifference 32 Posted June 29, 2012 boy, can I relate. a big part of the reason I am exploring this option (first consult is tomorrow) is so we can have a healthy pregnancy. when you've got babies on the brain it really does seem like EVERYONE is pregnant!! you are right to stay positive. everything you are going through will be worth it in the long run once you (a healthy you) hold that beautiful baby in your arms. sending good vibes your way *hugs*
TracieR 88 Posted July 5, 2012 UGH - I know the feeling! We have done two months of fertility treatments and still not pregnant. Took this month off to destress! ♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted July 5, 2012 Awww sorry. I know how that feels. We have been trying to get pregnant for 11 years. I have seen many many babies come during that time. It never really gets easier. ((hugs)) It does get easiet with age. I was never blessed with conceiving a child, spent many years and dollars trying. When I entered my 40s the emotions settled... I think in biological clock quit. Lol. Don't get me wrong it still hurts not being a mom. It has a lot to do with my weight problems.... I battled the why me. Anyway I guess what I'm saying is there is live without parenthood.

That is a good way to look at it and I try to stay positive. sometimes it doesn't help that I'm a teacher asi all these parents not taking care of their children. or sumbody who uses drugs getting pregnant or alcohol getting pregnant or just people in general getting pregnant what you know sometimes I feel what do they have that I don't. I try to stay positive but every month when my time of the month comes and goes. sometimes I get scared and, think will my husband leave me if we don't have a child. ErinMarie 186 Posted July 9, 2012 You are not alone ladies! The main reason I got my surgery was to try to get PG. I have lost 88 lbs (goal to lose 130, but at least 100 before getting PG) and I haven't been on BC since January and my periods are back to being totally abnormal. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to see a specialist before we can start trying seriously! But, I don't have insurance right now and I'm currently looking for a fulltime job, so that's out of the question for a while! I'm desperately wanting to be pregnant before I'm 30 and I have 3 years until that happens...here's hoping I can achieve that goal!
TexasDy 53 Posted July 9, 2012 Same here! We've been talking about it for 2 years but always wanted me to be at a healthier weight. Banded 2.5wks and am looking forward to officially trying next summer. One more year!!! Good luck to all of you. Stay positive!
mnjhowell 8 Posted July 11, 2012 I know how you feel. I waited 2 years after my band to start ttc. Well I now have a 6 week old daughter and a slipped band because of the pregnancy. Yes she was worth it but even waiting and doing everything right didn't stop it from causing problems. But she was born perfect and healthy so that's really all that matters. soon2bskinechick 4 Posted July 11, 2012 I am feeling the same way. It is really hard. I try to stay positive but you cant help but have those days where you just want to cry. I just turned 30 and my husband is 32 so my clock is ticking!! He says he will love me whether we have a child or not but I know how much he wants to be a daddy and it kills me that I cant give that to him yet. Keeping my hopes high and trusting in the lord though!
JessiG1983 50 Posted July 11, 2012 Oh, man...I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread!! My hubby and I have been TTC for 7 years. Getting healthy to try to improve our chances was also my main reason for choosing to have WLS. I try to stay positive but some days it is SOOOOO HARD!!! Ugh...hopefully we all catch a break!! lol
