**snow** Finally!

Recommended Posts

It finally snowed here in The White Mountains of Arizona! We have waited all winter for some moisture but have got none! We are in a major drought and needed moisture in the worst way. It is over 14 inches right now and still coming down strong. Not suppost to stop until sometime tomorrow!

Welcome to Spring! I know we need it but I wish it would have come in smaller increments. My poor dog, Cowboy (chihuahua) is not happy with it at all!!!! We clean off the ramp and in just a few min. it is all covered again. Poor boy! He trys to go into the deeper snow and he just disappears.

Here are some pictures I took this morning.

Terri - that is beautiful!

Like you, we are VERY dry over in Louisiana and would welcome ANYTHING wet.

Of coarse, in my neck of the woods, the white stuff is only a dream!

ENJOY!

It's still snowing! Well over 4 feet now.

OMG will it never end?

We had a really bad night. Our heater went out. I got up a 1 am and it was so cold. The blower on the heater went out! Very cold night and still cold today. Only to get to 29 today. Someone is here to fix it so please cross your fingers for me!!!!! I have so many layers of clothes on that I probably weigh the same as pre surgery! :)

YES, Vera come on over and bring the kids. We have a great hill right behind us that the kids love to sled down!

Terri - 4 feet? :omg:

My goodness, you could get lost in that. You know, that IS a thought for my husbands dog.... (I hate that dog).

Just send him to Terri's and let him goooooo in the 4ft of snow. (Im being silly, sorry - but I DO hate his dog).

Hope the heater starts working soon. ((hugs)) girl.

Back in Feb 97' we had a ice storm - no electricity for 3 days.

it.

was.

cold.

Funny thing... in Nov of the same year, we had a baby boom happen in our city!

Strange, huh? :)

Stay bundled up, you should be safe!

My fiance and I were up at Cliff Castle casino yesterday and when we went to drive back to Phoenix we got stuck in the huge snow storm. I have never driven in the snow before and I was seriously having a panic attack! People were pulled over on the sides of the rode and driving really dumb so that made me even more nervous. But there was no visibility and the roads were covered and we couldn't see the lines. I am glad for the rain and the snow, we really needed it, but OMG. I won't do that again!

Hi,

Glad for your area you got snow. Maybe enough to support skiing and help your economy? We got snow here in Kingman too and we really needed the moisture too. I don't know the official amount but it was about 3-4 inches in our yard. Our dogs loved it!

Diane

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
