BandMeSway 3 Posted June 28, 2012 I'm day 3 post op and that happened to me this morning...I drank some Water and it continued so I made my self 1 scrambled egg (with PAM no oil) and not even half an egg later the growling stopped...I think it's normal considering last time I ate was 6-7 pm yesterday. jeani81 93 Posted June 28, 2012 It's completely normal. Your going to go through this many times and you will learn what real hunger and head hunger is.
kbliss78 123 Posted June 28, 2012 yes. I called the office and they said eat several 4 - 6 1/2 cup meals until you get to green zone. It is hard until then. It is really too hard to do only 3 - 1/2 cup meals until you have fills. Hang in there through bandster hell. It gets better.
AlleyKat 26 Posted June 28, 2012 I'm 6 days post op and I have experienced the same thing. My surgeon called me yesterday and said it is very normal to be experiencing hunger at this point and to just stay strong. Are you on a liquid diet?

Secondchanceatlife 38 Posted June 28, 2012 I just couldn't keep up the liquid diet after 3 days past surgery. I was extremely weak, and felt really sick. I started out with a scrambled egg (cooking spray - no oil) as well, and it helped a LOT. I've ate soft foods ever since then. Just remember to chew chew chew, and eat very slowly. And I wouldn't eat full foods, just soft. Good luck!
