ldjstonband 27 Posted June 28, 2012 My husband came home with the stomach bug today and I'm terrified of getting it. I'm so afraid I'm going to get sick and my band is going to slip. I made him sleep on the couch. The worst part is my tummy feels a little queasy right now. I've been through so much lately I just don't want anything to happen. Anyone else had the stomach bug and come out of it ok. Oh I'm only 3 weeks post op so my band is just barley fitting in and I have no fills yet. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Cazzy 725 Posted June 28, 2012 Because u have no fills or restriction the chance of a band slip even if u do get a stomach bug are very rare, the band is stitched into place and 3 weeks is enough time for those stitches ( or staples ) to have bedded themselves in.. this does happen and people do get sick, if u are very concerned contact your doctor otherwise just take all precautions that u would anyways Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Jennifer LaRusso 3 Posted June 28, 2012 I had the stomach bug 2 weeks ago. I called the doctor immediately and they unfilled me from 7 cc to 4 cc. They felt that 4 was a safe number. I was only 5 weeks post op. You should be safe being that you are unfilled. You could call your doctor and ask for nassua meds. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
