Recommended Posts

Well, today is my year anniversary. I have worked really hard and I wanted so much to reach my 100 lb mark. I will continue to work really hard and meet my goal. I only have 48 lbs to go!!!!!

At this point, I have only one major NSV and it is that I do not eat or snack all day long any more. I have to remember to eat!!! That is the best one ever.Oh, and I went from a size 26/28 to a 14/16.

Congrats!! That is really inspirational. Can you tell us what you've found works for you, eg. how much excersise, what you eat on a regular day, etc.?

I may not be the one to ask because I kind of have my own program.

1 frapachinno in the morning

1 multivitiman

salad and alvacado (small) for lunch

tortillia chips and salsa for supper

And a lot of cheese

I have done this for the last eight months almost everyday. Maybe not in the same order.

I did start loosing some hair, so I started drinking a protien supplement.

Thank you for all the support.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
