Price Of Surgery In Mexico From Toronto

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm 37yrs old and don't know how much I weight. I seem to weigh between 350-400 judging by other peoples pictures. I have been overweight my whole life and have never seen a doctor. Today I did some research about the white deposits on my skin around my eyes and I understand that they are cholesterol deposits. They have been around my eyes for around 6 months or so and can signify a looming crisis.

I'm going to see a doctor ASAP, but I know what the advice will be.

Until I see the Dr, and the results are back, I need to start saving now and would like to know how much money in total it will cost to get the surgery done from Toronto.

I have researched, but find all sorts of different costs and many could be out of date so I was hoping someone could advise me how much I'll need to see a good Dr in Mexico from Toronto. I've been bouncing around the idea for years after failed diet attempts, but now it's time and I'm serious to go ASAP, but need accurate pricing and hidden costs fees up front just so I can book ASAP.

Thanks for any help,

Good for you for realizing you are in crisis. I have read that many people have gone to Mexico with good results. Have you thought about getting it done in Toronto so you can be close to home and have appropriate aftercare. Before going out of country, you will need to find a dr in TO who will take you on and do your fills. That could be difficult and costly as each fill costs.

I am having mine in Sudbury (am sure pricing is same elsewhere) and it is $16,000 all in, patient for life, all fills, unfills and if there are any complications or the band needs to be removed, they will do it. I don't live close to Sudbury but because of family and recovery I choose to go there. I can't find a dr in my city to do fills from another surgeon so have to travel.

Do your homework, with the most important thing being your aftercare. Many people have to go in for fills/unfills for 12 months before they are good to go.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
