sandra07 17 Posted June 25, 2012 Hello, im on my 5th day post op and lately very time I drink 1hr later I feel likeif I just drank a gallon of water! I take my time drinking 4 oz usually 30 to 45 mins! Am I drinking too fast? Too much? I'm suppose to be drinking 4oz every hour which lets be honest is way too much!! Help thanks Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
1shauna1 129 Posted June 25, 2012 4 oz an hour isn't really that much; it's half a cup. I don't know what to say except maybe slow down a little if you're feeling really full or bloated.
maria_reyes80 4 Posted June 25, 2012 try drinking it with a spoon, I had the same trouble after surgery as well and had to train myself to take smaller sips and the spoon really helped.

pearlyone 24 Posted June 26, 2012 I had no issue drinking after surgery.... i started super slow but sometimes I wonder if they forgot to put a band in. loL
sylviau 125 Posted June 26, 2012 i haven't been banded yet... (this next monday i will!) and my doctor and nutricionist is having me drink 1 oz (Like a shot glass size) every 15 minutes. Maybe that would help since its in smaller intervals?
