Today I got up, watched a gorgeous sunrise courtesy of TS Debby and hopped on the eliptical for 30 minutes. I did that for me today... what are you going to do today for you? We are here to be kind to ourselves... Go and BE KIND TO YOU!

Back to my "No carbs during the day, only for dinner" diet. I ate like I used to the whole weekend and I felt lousy!

I have not had surgery yet. But i stepped on the scale and saw that i've gained 6lbs since last sunday. Way too much junk and cake celebrating two birthdays last weekend. I'm going back to Protein filled Breakfast, shake for lunch and small portion of dinner. And tons of water! Aiming for 4 or more zumba sessions this week too. What a great thread, cant wait to read everyone's replies.

I am going to stick to my half cup to a cup, high Protein portions and I am gonna work my butt off for 30 minutes on my elliptical and burn up the calories.

I have been banded for 5 weeks, have lost 50 pounds and have so much energy that I did two miles on my treadmill before work this morning. I did that for myself, and for my family. I'm bdeing healthy for them, as well as me.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
