I just want to know if black olives on a salad are something I should stay away from or are they OK for me to have. I have a subway salad almost everyday for lunch while I am at work. I have roasted chicken then a tomatoe cucumber lightly shredded cheese and then quit a bit of black olives. They are something I can eat but not sure how good they are for me? Can some one please fill me in!

olives are high in fat and they are very high in salt. Personally I wouldn't bother with them.

In moderation... I love black olives too.

5 medium black olives / 25 calories / 2 grams fat / 95 mg sodium

If you slice them up thin you will feel like you are eatting more :)

I love olives too! And good thing they ARE full of fat, but it's the good kind of fat, like avocados. Eat up!

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
