Has Anyone Tried Freezing Premier Protein?

Recommended Posts

I saw someone post about freezing their Protein Drink and eating it like ice cream. I was thinking of trying it... but I didn't want to ruin one. haha. I am going to mix it with ice for now. Just curious. Anyone?

Yes, yes and yes!! I put it in a small blender and whip it up. I added some PB (powderd peanut butter) in it. let it freeze almost and then (still in the little blender) turn it on again and let it whip up again and then continue to freeze.

Everytime I fall off track it usually involves ice cream fat free but non-the-less ice cream. This one little ready to drink shake whipped up tasted so much like ice cream. I do not sleep at night until 3 or 4 am so I want to eat. I ate one last night it takes about an hour to eat the one serving shake when it it whipped and frozen. I was in a little bit of Heaven.

let me know it you like it!

Oooo that sounds awesome 123crod. I will have to give it a shot. Ice cream is my addiction. I have successfully transitioned to Skinny Cow, but I still overindulge more often than not.

Going to try this tomorrow. I only have vanilla premier. Not a fan of the chocolate. But chocolate with PB2 sounds yummy!!

Can you just freeze the already made shakes you can buy without the pb (powder peanut butter) or do you have to use it. I have the Premier Protein shake strawberry and cream and was wanting to make like an ice cream out of just the shake like you made it above by blendering it in my blender until whipped and freezing it and than blendering it again and put back in the freezer until is like ice cream

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
