1shauna1 129 Posted June 22, 2012 If you've been having trouble keeping solids down, go back a couple of steps to liquids and let your band settle (probably irritated from all the PBing). If you can leave a message at your doc's to get in as soon as you can.
pattyrg15 11 Posted June 22, 2012 I just got my band on Monday and I felt just the way you did. It was horrible! I went back on Wednesday and ended up being that my band was too small and closed up completely. I couldn't keep liquids down either so I went through surgery again and feel much better. If you can not keep anything down you should go to the hospital. I was told that Tuesday night but I waited to go see the dr on Wednesday. I know the chest pain is bad and not keeping anything down is not healthy. Don't wait too long. Good luck!
shap 24 Posted June 22, 2012 If you are that worried and can't get them on the phone take charge of your health and go down there.
Toddy 758 Posted June 22, 2012 I agree with Shauna. When I do too much pbing I go back to liquids because I know I've irritated my band. I would not be too worried about having to wait until Monday if you can keep liquids down, especially Protein Shakes. If you're having trouble with liquids, then you absolutely should not wait until Monday!
Sojourner 2,446 Posted June 22, 2012 Definitely go back on on liquids, and definitely make every effort to stay properly hydrated. It would be good to try to have your Protein shakes if you are able to tolerate them. I would also obtain after hours contact information for my surgeon's office. My surgeon's practice has 24/7 coverage for just these type of situations and any other type of emergency. You should not have to wait an entire weekend for some relief and answers. Hope you feel better soon!
