josey.watson 4 Posted June 21, 2012 So I'm laying in my hospital bed, had surgery 6 and a half hours ago. I have been feeling a little spewy sick from the anesthetic but they have been giving me injections to prevent spewing and moving the band. I was originally aloud ice to suck on but now not I am purely on fluids through a drip until tomorrow when I drink the dye and have an X-ray. It kind of hurts to breathe and my mouth is so dry, I've never wanted a drink of Water so bad before lol xox

PandorasBox92264 61 Posted June 21, 2012 When I have surgery I always wake up feeling really puky! I did tell the Doctor/Nurses and everyone prior that this happens. Sure enough as soon as the nurse came to try to wake me in the recovery room, as I was coming too, I said Im gonna hurl!! I didn't but they had the stuff ready right there to go in my IV. Just let them know if you have a tendency.. they can make arrangements to have it near. They could get it anyway but I wanted to make sure!!!! You should feel much better tomorrow! hang in there... Just rest and recover.. and try to drink the fluids when you get back on them... keep in mind IF your on alot of IV at the moment, you might notice a some weight gain from the IV solution.. it will go away... So my suggestion is try to stay off the scale for a week or so...
sandra07 17 Posted June 21, 2012 I had surgery yesterday and told the nurse that I get nauseous in the am and when I wake up almost everyday she told the anesthesiology and they gave me a shot for it! It worked so well that not even that nasty liquid before the X-ray made me nauseous! Thanks God not pain only a little on my left shoulder and I'm guessing that's from gas!!! Good luck!!
