My band has seemed very tight in he last week. I've got 4cc in it. Am scheduled to go to surgeon on Thursday. Will not be getting a fill.

I've read others have a right band during hot weather? I can't think what else could be causing it. I'm not having problems but have to be very very careful and chew tons. (This is new in the past week). So I'm guessing it's the weather or a very delayed response to my last fill 4 weeks ago.

Some are Ffected by the heat and others the cold. Since we're into hot summer weather, you might be finding that your band is tighter in the heat.but...are you drinking tons of Water and staying hydrated? In this weather, you should up your Fluid intake

Today is my second day with the lap band but I feel horrible. I can't keep not even a sip of Water down bcuz I start to vomit and my chest hurts a lot. Is that normal? I feel as if the band is too tight.

It sounds like you are to tight. I was banded 6/12/12 an post op day 3, I was in the office because I was having pressure with anything I drank/ate. I felt like just the ibuprofen that I would break in half felt like a lump stuck in my chest. My Dr. Said I had 3cc's in there! He took 1cc out and WOW what a difference! I still have "tight" days, but I to live in very hot/dry weather. I was also told if you fly you will feel tight. I will find out in July if that is true. Call your doc, they told me I should be more comfortable after "defill" and I did! Good luck.

I was actually better last night. And the pp is correct about Water intake. I've GOT to increase mine. I find it difficult to get in more than 34 oz a day or so.

You need to call your surgeon. You need to keep Water down.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
