MrsDay 2 Posted June 19, 2012 Hi all! I'm Erica. I have not been banded yet. I'm researching the procedure to determine if it's something I want to do. That's why I'm here! I'm married with 3 boys. I've been overweight since I was a teenager. I've tried to do it on my own. I've lost some, but I gain it back. I have diabetes and arthritis in my knees...and I'm tired of all of that. So here I am...to learn about this. I look forward to chatting with you all.
NWgirl 574 Posted June 19, 2012 Hi Erica! Hopefully we can answer any questions you have! My biggest advice is to immerse yourself in the forums so you find out about everything- some people get the surgery before they really read what it's about and how it works. Have you gone to a seminar yet?
MrsDay 2 Posted June 19, 2012 Nope. All I've done is a google search. LOL
lassie 247 Posted June 19, 2012 Hi Erica I also have been overweight most of my life. So far I am glad I have the band, I have not had a fill yet but have lost about twenty pounds in a month I know that some of that is Water loss. So far I am hungry most of the time but it is getting better, when I get a fill I hope the hunger will go away and I still will eat less. Since you mentioned your knee’s I will tell you mine are so much better already I am able to walk better and my knees are not as painful. Good luck to you and please read as much as you can about this before committing. Please feel free to message me anytime. Lassie
