Missy05.29.12 13 Posted June 18, 2012 Just wondering if and when people started eating lettuce? And if so, what kind? Any give you problems? Thinking about a lettuce wrap in place of a sandwich...
123crod 170 Posted June 19, 2012 I have had my times over the years where I could eat lettuce and when I could not. Right now I can and I eat all kinds. Just go slow and the greener the better. cheri
SageTracey 608 Posted June 19, 2012 For me the wrap would be more of an issue than the lettuce. I find lettuce of any type is fine to eat but wraps can be a day to day proposition. Just be sure to chew slowly, small bites and take your time.
Missy05.29.12 13 Posted June 19, 2012 Thanks for the input... BTW...by lettuce wraps meant using lettuce instead of a bread product.
honk 780 Posted June 19, 2012 I don't remember exactly when I started eating lettuce but I did not have solids until I was 5 weeks out. I used to have a chicken sandwich made with a Romain lettuce leafs every day for lunch. I would spread low fat laughing cow cheese down the spine, add chicken, mustard, roll the sides over and enjoy! LadyMaggie 145 Posted June 19, 2012 I had lap band surgery this year on April 9th and my first fill on June 6th (don't think I am in the "green" zone yet). But, I made a phone call to my Nutrionist today to ask her if I could have a tossed salad and she said "YES". I did not have any issues. ~ Good Luck ~
RockieBarbie09 9 Posted June 19, 2012 I had a salad for dinner last night, I use the actual head of lettuce instead of bagged lettuce
