SageTracey 608 Posted June 18, 2012 I don't remember laughing causing me pain in the early days. Aren't you lucky to have a life filled with laughter, even with a bit of pain. Hope you can enjoy a good old belly laugh really soon.
Cazzy 725 Posted June 18, 2012 laughing causes your stomach to move like coughing does .. hence u feel it hurts... if u need to cough i suggest u hold a pillow over your stomach and bend forward, this will stop your stomach moving and will reduce the pain. Pain on any movement from coughing sneezing, laughing is common after any abdominal surgery, even keyhole like the lapband, so give your self a chance to heal along with your muscles and all will be ok
NOgunbe 11 Posted June 20, 2012 I would like to thank those of you who tried to help me with my laughing pain. I am 6 days post op and it like 80%better. Only time it give me pain now is if I am walking and laughing. At that point I buckle over and hold my stomache. But this surgery did not steal my joy I am still laughing and carrying on as normal.
