Is Anyone's Port Sight Reddish And Bruised

Recommended Posts

I'm 4 days post op and my port sight is a little red and bruising. It a little stingy but not to bad. I've been up and moving around like the doctor said. Did anyone else experience this? I just don't want to have gone through all this for nothing.

You were opened up and will have redness, bruising, swelling. Keep in mind sometimes the bruising doesn't show the same day it has to work they way to the surface. You will itch as it starts to heal, you will have restriction even if you do not have Fluid in your band. You probably still have some residual gas pains, swollen tummy etc.

You are in the healing process and will be for awhile! Heal, get your nutrition figure out food choices that you will be wanting for when you start to eat reg foods.

You have only just begun... hang in there

Thank you so much I needed that! I was freaking out my husband said I was fine. He said it was normal but I wanted my bandster family who has went through this to confirm. Thank you again.

Not to worry...mine went from a bright purple to red and yellow with black brushing. My dr. said that it will go through a bunch of color changes. It is all normal but if it starts to look really red and starts getting swollen (mad), starts to have anything come out of it, gets really warm to the touch, or starts hurting really bad is when you should call the dr. But I think all of that is pretty unlikely.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
