Muscle Milk Light could be a good option. Make sure to get the light version as the regular is really high in cals. Also Carnation instant breakfast has a no sugar added version as well. It is however pretty low in Protein even when made with fat free milk.

If you have a costco near by I would recommend joining. I'm single but still buy quite a bit of stuff there (food and non food). One I get the premier premade Protein. Other things I've bought Pacific Brand Soups (much cheaper than the grocery store), Vitafusion Gummy Fiber, Kirkland chewable childrens's multi, Unflavored benefiber, roasted chicken, Nuts (walnuts, pecans), coq10, VitaRain (store brand Vitamin Water Zero), Chobani Greek yogurt.

Have you tried the chicken broth one? I'm trying to find someone that's tried that because I though it would a good boost to Soup and stuff and give me some added Protein when I'm doing full liquids and Clear Liquids.< /p>

It's funny how people vary so much... I tried it and thought it was disgusting- it had a Protein taste and smell, so it didn't taste like ANY chicken soup I'd ever had. It is also only supposed to be made with warm Water, not hot, because it won't come out right otherwise. I know unjury sells a sample pack online of a bunch of their flavors, that may be the best bet to see if YOU like it.

If you just want something hot to sip post-op, Lipton Cup of soup creamed chicken is delicious, but no protein.

I finally settled on the costco Premier chocolate because I tried so many flavors/brands and could not find one I liked. If I get bored of the plain chocolate taste, I add sugar free Syrup or Peanut Butter or banana to switch it up.

I have! Drank it like a broth one morning to get some Protein in. It was good. I ordered a starter kit which came with 2 of each flavor a shaker and a thermometer for like $25. It was a great deal!

I am using EAS advantedge carb control 17 Protein 4 carbs. I like the taste a lot thought about boost & ensure but they have too much sugar and they have only whey protein which is derived from dairy products(intolerant) EAS is a mixture if whey & a different protein so it doesn't bother my stomach

With 17 g per shake I think I can get the 60-70 g of Protein a day without disturbing my chicken broth with additives( hopefully)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
