Sojourner 2,446 Posted June 15, 2012 I know how disappointing it can be to have to postpone your fill...I had to wait for 3.5 months for my first one. I was scheduled for it, and the doctor determined I was severely dehydrated and instead of getting a fill, he admitted me back into the hospital. Hang in there...the time will go by quickly... 2muchfun 8,927 Posted June 15, 2012 Anume, is that really as soon as the Doc would let you in? Sometimes you must get pushy with the docs or the schedulers. Some of these people who schedule appts are petty little despots and get off on the little bit of power they have. But if it was your choice, good luck. tmf
2muchfun 8,927 Posted June 15, 2012 I had surgery in january and am having my first fill next week. I'm scared?. Scared? Of what? Needles? Youtube lapband fills and you'll see it's quite painless. Like a mosquito bite. I watched the needle go in and watched the doc push the plunger down. No feeling at all. In fact, the first fill had no pinch or needle prick pain at all. The others had a little bit of a pinch feeling but it's no big deal. I'm not saying that to be macho, I'm sure most everyone here would back me up. tmf
