ELENATION 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I'm pretty new to this board, I posted only once before, and now I forgot how to do it, hopefully I'm posting in the right board, I just couldn't figure out how to start a thread to ask this question: I'm eating now between 1200-1350 for the past two weeks, before I was doiong 1500-1600 and I was in a long plateau, I broke it after my last fill, but I'm concerned that I may still be eating too many calories? Can you tell you how many are you eating? any advises please? I weight 249 now, I walk 30-45 min per day. Thank you for your help. Elena:help:
Dancer 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Elena - What was your surgeon's recommendation? My surgeon told me that the band is designed to work with 800-1200 calories. I am not on solid food yet so I am usually below even the 800 mark. Good luck to you! You sound like you are doing really good!
Jill_S 1 Posted March 9, 2006 Typically I end up with 600-800 net calories for the day. I eat up to 1200 and exercise off about 600 a night (when my knee isn't hurting).
CCBSTX 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I've done pretty well on about 1100-1200 calories per day. Although, I am feeling the need for a fill!!! Shawn
ms_efflorescent 0 Posted March 9, 2006 I am a newbie (3 months out) so maybe I shouldn't give advice, however I haven't had a fill yet and I haven't had a single week since surgery without a loss. I am averaging 3 pounds per week weight loss. I eat between 1000 and 1700 calories a day but I do not eat the same amount for more than a couple days in a row. I might eat 1200 for three days, then 1000 for one, then 1700 for two, then 1300 for three, then 1100 for four.... If you eat the same amount of calories every single day it is easier for your body to get in a plateau because the body becomes more efficient at using that number of calories. It is basically the same as the advice not to do the exact same exercise day after day, month after month. You get better results from changing things up so your body doesn't get too used to what you are doing. Anyway, good luck finding what works best for you.
