picardy3 0 Posted March 9, 2006 If you have a lovely commute to work like I do, then you know that at times your mind tends to wander. Mine decided to take a strange trip this morning and I realized that it's been 20 years since I started the battle, struggle, etc. in my weight loss. :faint: :faint: :faint: It all started at the age of 17 when my then PCP decided to help me lose weight by starting me on diet pills, Adipex P (speed). What a wonderful way for a 17 yr. old to finish up her Senior year in high school. :rolleyes :rolleyes  Here's looking the end of this battle. picardy3 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Kat, Unfortunately, the weight gain all started around 4th grade. It wasn't until I was 17 that the doctor thought maybe we should try something. Geeez, ya think????:faint: Audra
FuelMan 2 Posted March 9, 2006 I have lost like 1000 lbs in the last 20 years. I am 53 and this battle has gone on forever. Since the lap-band was installed I am ready and willing to keep the weight loss going. I did take a holiday there for a year or so. Now I am ready to go forward. I have lost a normal size person, and I have another person to go, LOL:eek: . But, I am ready to do the work. I think it took that year off to get my head right, it ain't all in the eating. For some reason I was not ready to be a normal size, today I am. Well................... at least I think so.......LOL. Thanks for the thought, and it's nice to know that the end is in sight. Peace.
