lilbec 1 Posted June 14, 2012 Was banded on May 23, 2012. My surgeon says he gives everyone their first fill at 4 weeks. I've been on regular food for almost 2 weeks and I'm still losing weight (2-4lb per week). My question is if I'm losing more weight than is recommended per week do I really need this fill? ready4change2 19 Posted June 14, 2012 I would think no! I would wait a month and go from there. If things are going so well i would definitely wait. Sounds like things are going great!
PandorasBox92264 61 Posted June 14, 2012 Keep the appointment, but they might look at your weight loss and say.. nope no fill needed. This way it is showing you are following up with their instructions and they can monitor what is going on as far as the weight loss. If you just call in and try to cancel they might think that you are not following and possibly gained. I have gone in for a fill appt and they did not fill me... Congrats!! kbliss78 123 Posted June 14, 2012 I also would keep the appointment and decide together. They may do a very small fill. You likley wouldnt notice a difference with the first fill anyway.
NWgirl 574 Posted June 14, 2012 Keep the appointment and let the surgeon help you decide. I would say if you are staying full for 4+ hours and not white knuckle dieting, you are probably okay with no fill. If you are hungry but are pushing through, then probably a fill would be good.
