Slackaction,

I hope you're kidding about the railroad! Stand tall and proud. I have two railroaders in my immediate family. My sister is a conductor on a freight line for Norfolk Southern... "The Thoroughbred of Transportation."

:heh:I have student loans, she doesn't. On top of that, she makes more money than I do. Boy, if I had known that, I would have skipped law school, for sure. Plus, all that hopping on and off of trains keeps her slim. SHE NEEDS NO LAP BAND.

Sorry, do I sound bitter? LOL

I was curious as well...but glad you asked it.

Own my own company called The Beauty of Grace and I distribute Avon products from east coast USA all the way across the US down to just past the equator.

I also train other men and women to do the same. Buy Avon as a personal consumer or start their own Avon business.

I started out as a personal consumer...single mom and couldn't afford retail...even at Walmart. So I found Avon and get all my things at a discount...50%.

When it came to the band, I wanted a 50% discount, too...and I found a great surgeon who only charged $7,000. Guess the businesswoman in me stretches to other parts of my life.

So, if any of you need to save money or earn some extra cash... contact me.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
