Do You Buzz Going Through A Metal Detector?

Don't laugh at me but I meant to ask my doctor if I will buzz at the airport going thought the metal detector. For some reason I always get picked to get wanded/violated & if the port is metal won't I buzz? How embarrassing that could be? What would I say if my stomach beeps?

You won't beep. I have had my band since 2008 and have never had an airport issue.

i just thought about when they put you in that air puff machine and do the full body scan!! they will see the band. how funny!

my band is 100 % plastic i asked cuz i travel allot not you wont buzz my mom also has the band since 03 and we just went to pa in november.... and she didnt buzz at all!!!!

Thank goodness. Mine sorta looked like it had a metal ring on the inside but maybe it's plastic. Whew...I've been wondering about that for like 2days...lol

I went on three flights in the past week and had no issue with airport security. Never thought about them seeing my band on the scanner... Lol. Funny.

I went through one at a court and it didn't make a sound. Hopefully those are as strong as the ones at airports and I don't get screwed!

I travel and have flown alot with it and have not had any trouble. I even went through the new scanners and nobody looked twice or asked me what was inside me. You will be fine.

I went off at the st . Louis arch security. In my little lap bands packet it says that there is a small titanium rod in the port and I may set off security. I handed them my lap band card and they were fine with it.

They will not see your band in a full body scan. That is not an x ray machine. It cannot see under your skin.

Its card with my info and that I have a lap band. It has a message for restaurants allowing me to order kiddie meals and about the titanium rod for security.
