JustMeDee 34 Posted June 12, 2012 34yo married and a mother of 2 (14 and 11). i have had a weight problem my whole life but it seemed to have gotten worse once i had my tubes tied. what motivates me to want the surgery is the fact that its had for me to do things with my kids anymore. i am tired of having to take the "fat" seats on rollercoasters or my back hurting so bad i barely make it out of the theme park. I know it's time for me to make a change but what change do i make? My sister and I had our first appointment in April and while she's able to have her surgery in July, I'm having to wait 6 months due to insurance requirements. i thought we would be able to go through this together for support but now that we're not i find myself trying to talk myself out of having the surgery. I was wondering if am i the only one out there that is scared to death about having surgery! so here i am!?!
lassie 247 Posted June 12, 2012 HI it took me a year to get all my tests and insurance requirements. I was very nervous right up to the time I had my band. (May 24th ) Help your sister, she will need your support and she will be your best support when it is your turn. You will also be able to see all the pitfalls before you get your band. Keep your mind on the prize Lassie
