kjames65 2 Posted June 12, 2012 I struggle with this up until 7 weeks post op. If I eat too much my left shoulder and neck hurt. Dr. Richard said he had heard of that before but did not elaborate on it. I guess this is my sign to stop eating when the least bit of pain starts in my shoulder...The pain is horrible. Best of luck and I hope it goes away sooner for you.
basket8 3 Posted June 12, 2012 I had this pain too, I bought a patch from Walmart. Like a heat patch, and it took the pain away.
rayanne 283 Posted June 12, 2012 I had it really bad it was me eating too fast or drinking too fast. I would get up and walk around the block. it will feel better after a short walk
electronicart 120 Posted June 12, 2012 I believe what you are experiencing is referred pain. My doctor explained that the nerves on the top of your stomach run to your left shoulder. Anyway, I had it BAD and wondered if I would have to live like this the rest of my life. Fortunately, it did subside and I rarely have any shoulder or neck pain. It should get better
