Sal58 4 Posted June 12, 2012 I have been banded now 2 months. I started having port area pain a couple of days ago while doing my walk. It really feels like a tugging, stitch type pain. Is this normal and has anyone else experienced this? I walk between 5 and 8 miles a day....adding a morning and evening walk together. I try and hold my tummy in while walking so just wondering since I am losing weight am I breaking up scar tissue?
TKW 501 Posted June 12, 2012 That could be. My port area was tender for a long time, I'd say a couple of months. Don't heisitate to call your Dr if you are concerned. Good Luck on your journey!
kjames65 2 Posted June 12, 2012 I am 8 weeks post op today, and after doing Zumba workout on Sunday, I had the worst pain and swelling in my port area. It stung, felt like a stitch was working it's way out through my skin, and the swelling was the size of a softball. I did call the nurse and she said that I probably over done it, and the muscles were still healing. Today the swelling is much better, still some pain to the touch, but my 2 mile walk this morning was fine with no pain. Good luck...28 lbs down and alot more to go!! Sal58 4 Posted June 12, 2012 I also remember doing Wii bowling and archery....I guess I could have just over done it all. Thanks for your response though...if it keeps up I will call my doctor.
