I'd hold off on a bath for as long as possible, could possibly infect incisions, since it's only been 5 days, that and I hate baths haha.

You should be fine to take a shower at this point. But, don't irritate your incisions just let Water run down that area.

How were your incisions closed? My doctor uses glue and told me we can swim, bathe, whatever after 5 days.

At my two week post op appt I asked when I could swim. He said since it had been two weeks I was in the clear to swim.

I'd also suggest getting waterproof band aids to shower if you feel so inclined.

I have an incision that took forever to heal completely so I bought a box of waterproof b-a's and showered, but becareful changing those too often, I now have a scar the shape of the band aid thats still healing because I changed it too often.

I was glued and prefered the bath. I have a deeper tub and wouldn't put too much Water into....kept it low enough not to touch any incisions.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
