ktsped 42 Posted June 10, 2012 Hi everyone... I had my surgery on April 16th. I am down 20 pounds and am extremely thrilled. On May 30th I had my first fill...2 cc's. I have to be honest that I thought it would help right away but I have not really felt any difference. I don't feel like my appetite has been changes at all. I have been at the same weight for the past two weeks. I am using Lose Fit app and count my calories each day. I have been walking each day as well. Can anyone give me any suggestions to get ht scale moving? Or should I just suck it up and wait for my next fill which is July 11th?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated? I thank you all in advance....
newme0617 6 Posted June 10, 2012 Hello, I had surgery 4-18...Ihave lost 18 pounds...no fills yet...shceduled for 6-13 first fill, but i am feeling back pain and fullness with eating little..I also thought I would have had more weight loss, as I gauge by what and how I lost 16 years ago...I lost 15 pounds a month for three months 16years ago..I am older and I do not need the calories I did last time, so I am being patient...I also say I have lost 18 pounds..so that is in and of itself an accomplishment and have to say, take baby steps and it will happen I keep a food journal and I am going to start to go to the gym this week...I am hoping that adds to the weight loss and toning... I thank you all in advance.... I haven't had band yet, but I have a friend that has lost over100 pounds.. Don't worry your dr. will see you're not losing and you will another fill, 20 lbs is great as long as your not putting on before fills it's great! Before you now it maybe by this time next year you will have dropped another 20x4. Good luck Sent from my DROID RAZR using LapBandTalk
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted June 10, 2012 About how many calories a day are you eating? And about how much Protein are you getting daily? Sometimes something as simple as changing your calories a little, either up or down, is enough to give your metabolism the kick it needs to start loosing again. honk 780 Posted June 10, 2012 Most people do not get much or any restriction from their first fill. Also, it can take up to two weeks for a fill to take affect and you are still in that period. How many times a week and how long are your walks? Most doctors request 30 minutes minimum daily. You could also try different exercises. Do you have access to a gym/pool? If so you could mix up your work out swim one day walk the next, try various cardio machines. Are you weighing your Protein? My doctor says 3 oz of solid Protein for lunch and dinner. I am at restriction but still measure.
Grandma3 73 Posted June 10, 2012 I don't know how many calories you are eating but I was doing 700-800 a day and not loosing. Everyone on here told me to kick it up 300 calories a day .......... crazy right? Well it worked, the first week again nothing, in fact I gained a lb but since then I have lost 2 lbs every week. ktsped 42 Posted June 10, 2012 Thanks everyone for the suggestions...I am watching my Protein and keeping my calories to 1200 a day. I am hoping that I can increase my exercise this week and break my plateau....
