MOMIOF3CV 11 Posted June 10, 2012 I have been woken a time or two during the night with a pain. I am quessing that it is from the port. When I twist or stretch at night, it feels like little needles. I am little more than a year post band. Love my band. Just worried that I might be messing something up. Which is silly, because we are suppose to be able to workout and not cause damage. Anyone else having this.
PandorasBox92264 61 Posted June 10, 2012 I had surgery 9/08 and every once in awhile I get a twinge here and there in the area around the port. I think it could be related to how the port was secured and nerves etc. I also sometimes get what feels like a charlie horse in the area of my port, the same type of cramp you get in calves when one is dehydrated. Of all things it can come on during sex or if I stretch a certain way lol...go figure (so I try to keep hydrated) But I have found that I lay back, make sure to drink alot of Fluid and maybe even eat a banana, it will go away. I had one about a month ago that lasted off and on about an hour!!! I drank, and put a heating pad on it to relax the area. I know my band is fine, i just had an upper GI and a new fill two weeks ago.
ebonymc 52 Posted June 10, 2012 I can relate to the pain at night when laying down on that side. mine feels as if the stomach fat maybe caught between the band, stomach, and ribs(weird) I have to toss and squirm a while to get comfortable and then be awakened by caughing and reflux. reflux is in the past now, but I still hurt in that area when exercising.
