Disappointed And Frustrated

Recommended Posts

I am not even losing one lb per week. Not sure if it is my docs office or not, but I feel like they are all about the money. I used to go in monthly for fills and eval. when I hit a plateau, they suggested I go to the nutritionist and have my metabolism checked, but at an additional charge. In my opinion, if I need to see the nutritionist as part of my post OP planning, it should not be more money.

On too of that, the nurse told.me that if my metabolism is slow, it did not matter how much or how little I eat, the weight is not going to come off without massive exercise. Which leads me back to thinking....why wouldn't they run those tests before surgery so I could have made an informed decision. I did my research prior to surgery, however, none of the studies or material mentioned slow metab being a HUGE issue.

Basically, I am scarred from the surgery....did not find out I keloid until post OP. So those "tiny" scars that everyone else has have turned into HUGE ugly scars on my stomach.

I am still ,counting calories and Carbs, with very little self control. The main reasons I under went this surgery. Disappointed.

When was your surgery? I just finished a 5 week plateau and my surgery was only this March!

I compulsively log my food on my fitness pal. And only lose when I eat 1100 or less Cal and exercise 5 dy week.

Are you logging foods? Good luck. I would try to avoid the tests and try foods and exercises to help with weightloss.

My surgeon uses the nutritionist and him as a team. I see my surgeon once a month and my nutritionist every two weeks right now to keep myself on track. My nutritionist is free for the rest of my life since I had surgery here its a package deal. Since it is free I really take advantage of it. The thing I am working on now is making sure I am exercising.
