KBoo 3 Posted June 10, 2012 Ok ladies I'm totally frustrated and need your help! I'm down almost a hundred pounds (I haven't been on the site for awhile so I'm not sure what my signature says) and I'm at the point where I DESPERATELY need new bras but I put on a c cup and my boobs look squished and super wrinkly but if I put a d on its too big! I've tried different sizes around too but now I think it may be the style. I started out as a 44D and I think I'm around a 38-40 c or d now but who knows! And I know I could get measured but I don't want to spend a ton of money on a bra that may not fit for long Anyone have this problem and if so have any tips, brands, styles that have helped!? Thank you all so much!
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted June 10, 2012 Ugh yes, I have this problem too. Big time! I would go and get measured then take the info to buy a cheaper bra at Kmart or Walmart. That's what I did.
MeredithMcFee 98 Posted June 10, 2012 First off, Kristen, congratulations on your success this past year. That's awesome. Do you have an account at Lane Bryant? If so, they're always having bra sales. Buy one, get the second one half off. I'm hoping to leave LB in the near future as I am tired of shopping in the big girl's stores. However, I love their frunctional bras they have with underwires. Whether you're still losing or maintaining, one thing for sure, good fitting bra's are a must have, no matter what. The girl's need support, it helps with our posture as well as our mental being. Nothing like seeing a woman wearing a bra that needs to be pulled up, let alone not fitted properly.Good luck! PandorasBox92264 61 Posted June 10, 2012 I know that feeling and as we lose weight sometimes the bra styles we liked no longer do what we need them to do. I even went with Wacoal bras for awhile then POOF they didn't seem to do much for me but they last for AGES>EVERYTHING was flattening me and smooching my boobs!!!! I would take a look at Macy's if you have one near you, they usually have someone on staff that can measure you properly and they almost always have a sale on bras! I switched over to a Vanity Fair bra that my sister turned me onto... she had gastric bypass and swore by them! Vanity Fair model 75243, it is nylon spandex bra with underwire and they have some cool smoother fabrics too. It also has cush on it so you cannot see through and you don't poke out through your shirts, they are really comfy too even with underwire. You can get them at Kohl's and Macy's or usually anywhere they have Vanity Fair. We are about the same bra size and it just might work for you. I usually find them on sale for 18.00 and sometimes less! They also wash well, and do not lose their shape easily.
Jachut 487 Posted June 10, 2012 I find the style of the bra makes a difference - I always choose a full coverage style - any sort of plunge or half cup and it looks like my boobs are puddles of Water. Cleavage is just not something I have or show anymore, my boobs aren't up to it. Being a C cup, they're easy to find and not make a feature of, and well, there's just some bras that don't suit me. adorkbl 156 Posted June 15, 2012 I switched to a balconette style bra with underwire. I get mine at Avenue when they are on sale. Super comfy and give me "lift". My girls have definitely deflated some and I went from a DDD to a D cup.

newme2013 8 Posted October 19, 2012 I personally like Fredricks of Hollywood for full figure coverage. Employees are very helpful in stores w/ fittings. Recently I found a CHAMPION Brand Bra at Kohls. It has full coverage, like a sports bra but with nice wire support.. Very comfortable with nice support ( they don't fall out-LOL).....I also like to wear SONOMA (Kohls) supportive tank tops over bra....Nice support under blouses.
