Recommended Posts

Ok for the past few months I can't get the scale to really move and now it's creeping up...I know I am training more and lifting more weights...but geez I'm not a body builder..this is very disheartening...help!

This is most definitely a "loaded" question. haha. But I will answer it like this:

My wife is having the same problem. There are lots of different reasons why the scale could be not moving.

As I'm sure you know, muscle weighs more than fat, so it is POSSIBLE that you're building muscle faster than you're losing fat. Note I said possible, not probable. Having said that, though, I have zero idea what your training routine, cardio routine, and diet are, so I couldn't even venture to guess how likely that is.

Four things we need to know:

a) how many calories do you eat, per day?

B) what does your diet consist of?

c) what is your normal workout?

d) how often do you work out?

:D

I agree with nontradguy but I'd add that you should sit down with your dietician/nutritionist and find out why this is happening. I did back in March and it made all the difference in my journey. Well worth the money.

I started paying attention to my eating and I have realized that I am eating way more than I should and getting hungry much faster than I used to...I have an appointment for a fill in about 3 weeks...until then I'm gonna have to REALLY use some will power...I realized I haven't been to the doc since I think deceember and since that time I have met goal...I train 2 days a week with my trainer and work out alone 2 more..cardio..weights...etc...I have never counted calories cuz I just won't keep up with a log..and I know me..I tried several times...so thanks for ur input guys...I think I already knew the answer just needed a kick in the pants...thanks for not judging me and tryn to help...I love my lbt fam.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
