siskris 4 Posted June 8, 2012 I am a 45 year old female located in the Boston area. I am 5'2 and currently weigh 200 pounds. I am under the BMi but because I have sleep apnea and high blood pressure I was approved . My surgery is scheduled for the 11th, and I am a nervous wreck. bluegrassgirl 0 Posted June 8, 2012 Don't be too nervous. I had my surgery a couple of years ago and it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. The 1st couple of weeks post surgery arn't a lot of fun, but when you start wearing clothes that are 2 to 5 sizes smaller, it's all worth it. I was a 3X and wearing size W24, and now I'm a regular 14. Spend as much time walking or go to the gym as soon as you can, it's a great stress reliever and calorie burner. The weight will melt off and you'll feel great!
siskris 4 Posted June 8, 2012 Any idea how long I will be out of work? I only have 2 weeks vacation time and am hoping that is enough
hopefloats 11 Posted June 8, 2012 You will be fine with that much time. I was back to work after a week and I am a nanny for 4 children...the youngest was a newborn and had a 2 and 4 year old as well...fortunately the oldest had started school so that was a little bit of a break.
