BarbeeM 5 Posted June 8, 2012 That sounds like a lot in 8 days to me. I do not want to lose that fast. Congratulations
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted June 8, 2012 The first 4-6 weeks after surgery are for healing, not losing. Most don't loose during this time, some even gain, so if you lost 13 pounds you're doing great. Put the scale away for the next month and concentrate on following the post op diet, making smart food choices, and healing. Then once you're back on normal food and all healed up you can start worrying about weight loss.
Cazzy 725 Posted June 8, 2012 I am surprised that your surgeon didnt explain to you that this is a slow weight loss surgery, a lot of people dont really start losing weight till their fills start kicking in maybe on fill 3 or 4 .. was this not explained to you ? the ideal wieght loss with a band is 1 to 2lbs a week The 4 to 6 weeks post op is for healing so dont be in too much of a hurry just concentrate on following your doctors guidelines and healing and starting to exercise when u get the all clear to
