when i gained weight my feet got bigger. do feet get "skinnier" or smaller after you lose the weight? i heard after pregnancy people don't tend to lose the increased foot size when they return to normal weight. I was just wondering though if other people had experience with this and comments on it.

Yep....I went to put on some high heals the other day and sure enough the didn't fit. I never even thought about my feet getting smaller. Oh well...I will just add that to the shopping list. Looks like I went from a size 9.5 to an 8.5

i had huge feet with the extra weight. they were very painful as well. it was Fluid, the dr tried to change my b/p meds with a diuretic added and it made me ill. so, i had to put up with my feet, which were really gross as well as being painful. i had lapband surgery and within a week the feet were back to their normal size, and looking better than they had for nearly 20 years. the pain has nearly gone as well. i hope this helps you. i dont know how much swelling in feet is due to fluid with everyone else but it was fluid with me.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
