change4life10 1 Posted June 7, 2012 I was just wondering if anyone has had lapband over a failed bypass. I heard Carnie Wilson did it but wondered if anyone on here is in that situation.

Fantasy 104 Posted June 7, 2012 The support group I was going to had so many people who had gained 50 plus pounds a few years after bypass sugery that they actually formed a special group. It was getting so depressing watching them cry every month. It must be pure hell to go through WLS and then have it fail and destroy all of your hopes and dreams. This is why I like the band, the stoma size can be adjusted and it doesn't stretch. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I did decide to get the lapband. I am a former bypass patient. It was really hard for me to talk about it I didn't want anyone to know. I feel like I completely failed.. I do feel blessed that I am haveing a second chance at losing weight. I am totally focused and ready to start this new journey. I am ready to change my life for good. I am waiting on insurance to approve the surgery. Hopefully not much longer. Thank you for your comment it helped alot.
