Swallowed A Piece Of Chewing Gum.....what Should I Do????

Okay so today by accident I swallowed a piece of chewing gum. Got nervous when it happened and could taste the peppermint flavor in my throat. Drank Water and it went down okay. Ate some food and it went down okay. Does this mean the chewing gum passed thru the band and into my stomach. Hope its okay.....I don't feel anything and I have had stuck episodes before this. I definately knew when I was stuck. Has anyone else swallowed gum with the band??

If it hasn't caused problems yet, then it's probably through. This is a reason why many recommend not chewing gum, as you get to tighter restriction you may not be so lucky.

If you are eating and drinking OK then you don't need to worry.

wheeeew! I saw the title and freaked out for you. Glad all is well, could of been really scary! I am not going to chew gum either once I am banded cause I don't want this very same thing to happen.
