lupediva 56 Posted June 3, 2012 I went to see a movie, it was uncomfortable to sit in the seat! So mad I have gotten like this... I pray to God I get approved and next time feel better to go to see a movie with my family.
TreehouseLady 11 Posted June 3, 2012 Me too! Fortunately where I go to see movies is new (but still unknown), so usually have the entire theater to ourselves. I have the same problem flying, so much pain in my back, neck, shoulders and mostly my knees. I am really hoping to sit back in a theater by year's end with a comfortable smile and in a little less pain
AaronRene12 1 Posted June 3, 2012 i hardly go to the movies, but as someone who COULD be a touring artist (not like famous or anything, but opening up for some famous people), i usually don't travel anywhere i can't drive.
bigenuff 302 Posted June 3, 2012 I understand ! Last year I worked a job that had me flying nearly every week ! Airplane seats are the WORST !! I kept the seatbelt extender in my purse so I didn't have to be embarrassed by asking for it all the time.:-( 1 TreehouseLady reacted to this
m1aman 944 Posted June 3, 2012 Aircraft and movies. Two things I have avoided for sure. Last movie I saw was Jurassic Park, in 1993 I believe. Last flight was in 1999 and I barely fit in first class.
SageTracey 608 Posted June 3, 2012 OMG I remember exactly what you mean.. on the other hand,I went to the theater (stage show) last night and was able to enjoy a private smile when the woman beside complained about the seats being so small because I was very comfortable. Hang in there and one day this will be just a memory for you too!

daisychains7 427 Posted June 3, 2012 Been there. Some of those seats are too tight for me. Airline seats are always painful, and I have been asked to get off several roller coasters because I couldn't fit. It sucks but its something you can use as motivation on your weight loss journey. Oh My! Amusement parks were my worst fear. I live in Fl and my nieces and nephews always want to go to the parks...I spoil them rotten and take them just about anywhere but there. I couldn't explain why I wouldn't go on rollercoasters. But I was deathly afraid of being asked to come off a ride. I am definitely looking forward to not having to worry about "fitting" in seats, booths, or roller coasters ever again.
willowcat 93 Posted June 4, 2012 Went to the movies today--with plenty of room to spare! Yea! People without a weight problem have no idea. Coincidentally, the very nice lady next to me asked if she could put up the arm between us. I totally understood her need for the 2 1/2 extra inches gained by having the arm up, Before the lapband, I bought two seats (2 in coach was cheaper than one in 1st class) on a plane trip to go to my grandmother's funeral. The money was so worth avoiding the pain and the embarrassment of trying to manage in an airline seat. Now I fit just fine. Both are major NSV for me! gale_1016 18 Posted June 4, 2012 I am flying in August & am hoping that I can comfortably sit without the arm rests digging in my thighs! We are going on an Alaskan cruise & one of our excursions is ziplining. There is a 250 weight limit. Thankfully I'm below that, but not by much. The more you weigh, the slower you go. My husband is about 10 lbs lighter than me so my fear is that he'll fly down & I'll be slowly gliding. So my goal is to weigh less than him by the time we go! PattyGirl66 1,243 Posted June 4, 2012 Check your movie theaters. Our movie theater chairs have the arms that extend up. Perfect for keeping the kids all together and of course snuggling with that significant other. Well not to mention the comfort. Now, I can't fit into the broadway shows seats because of how small they are. OMG, they are teeeeny weeny. I smashed myself in one years back and the arms dug into my poor aching hips. I haven't gone and missed it so bad. I am really looking forward to losing weight so I can get back to NY and see all the broadway shows.
