michelle9902 0 Posted June 3, 2012 When you get a fill how long does it take for you to notice or for the saline to make it to your band?
Cocoabean 430 Posted June 3, 2012 The saline is in the band immediately. It can take a couple of weeks for the fill to take effect for some reason. I had a fill where they pulled out all the Fluid and put it back to check the amount. I could feel the bladder contract and then expand again as the syringe plunger was maneuvered. Odd sensation. 2muchfun 8,927 Posted June 3, 2012 I've always noticed the restriction as soon as i was allowed to eat solids. Maybe 2-3 days. Just remember that with each fill you may have to re-learn your eating skills and hone them to work with your band. It can take several weeks to make that adjustment. tmf

Sal58 4 Posted June 3, 2012 Thanks for the info. I just had my first fill Friday and didn't notice a thing. I am on liquids though till tomorrow and then mushy for three days then regular. I was wondering what to expect. Right now with just liquids I am hungry all the time since the liquids seem to pass right through. I did get my little timer though so now ready to learn to listen to my body...stop with satisfied and not full. A new learning experience. Good thing is...the fill part didn't hurt at all. That was another fear of mine but it was totally painless for me.
