ocgirljo 7 Posted June 1, 2012 Walk. Gas-x strips also. Walking seems to work the best. Even up and down the hall 1 mrfreeze3308 reacted to this
Bamabander 111 Posted June 1, 2012 Walk, gas strips and warm mint tea... I have had very little problems after doing that every few hours.. Try and keep ahead of it and the pain. You will be amazed how much better you will feel tomorrow. Glad things went well!
ll7823 0 Posted June 1, 2012 GasX- Walk- Heating Pad & repeat & repeat. The Gas pains are the worst part. I know it's rough. I'm 3 weeks out from my surgery & tears come in my eyes thinking back on those damn gas pains. You can do it!!!!

Tomander 614 Posted June 1, 2012 I found the gas in m left shoulder was really bad for 3 days. A heating pad and a bean bag I put in the microwave REALLY REALLY helped. After day 3 I started to feel "normal"... it does get better. Good luck. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Loss: 156 lbs S
Aimee Orrock 2 Posted June 1, 2012 Keep moving about, if you have someone who can take you a drive in the car that really helped me gently though as you will be sore! I'm 10 days post opp & still experience it at night & in the morning! Another thing I had was pepermint tea ... That was brilliant! Feel Better Soon :-) x

kah1213 311 Posted June 1, 2012 I hate to admit it, but walking really helped. Even late at night I was doing laps in my apartment!

Lovemythreems 36 Posted June 1, 2012 Thanks everyone. Walking does help. I think I'll go get a heating pad too. Man the gas is more painful then my incisions. Didn't expect that. I feel much better today.

lastshot 0 Posted June 2, 2012 Just curious did you have a hiatus hernia repair? If you did its not just gas pains there is a nerve called the vega nerve that cross from your esophageal opening in the diaphragm that gets irritated from the hernia repair. If that's the case just keep moving it will ease up in a few days and be gone completely within a week or two.
