Checking in - 214. Same as last week. But since I lost 4 lbs last week, I'm fine with this :)

505lbs up 3lbs, but not discouraged!! My pants are looser, and I'm gaining muscle because of the gym. I get a fill on Tuesday, as well. Staying positive!!!

I am up 1 lb...but have been working out like crazy...hopefully it's muscle... Going to go even harder at it this week...

I am up a pound today to 315. I think I am eating too many nuts and am retaining Water. Dang pistachios. Lol. This challenge is not going well for me!!

Don't forget to check-in everybody! I gained from the last time I weighed myself but lost from when I last checked in, I was surprised. Today's my daughter's 6th Birthday-Chuck E. cheese here we come! And I have to start preparing for my garage sale next weekend so I can have some extra cash for VEGAS Baby!

I'm new to the Summer Challenge. I was just banded on 5/18 and so far feel fantastic. Here's my info:

Goal weight for June 30th~ 210 lbs

Weight on June 1st ~ 220.6 lbs

Age~ 28

Dietary goal for June~ Transition into the regular eating plan (I'm on mushies now!)

Exercise goal for June~ Do something active every day, rain or shine.

Personal goal for June~ Get my husband eating healthier too!

Date banded~ 5/18/12

Total weight loss since banding/pre op diet~ 22 lbs

What is your favorite summer activity~ Jogging along the Columbia River.[/quote']

Halfway through the month! I'm at 211.6 this morning! I've been exercising in some way every day. Husband is getting better...learning... But still can't shake the bad carbs.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
