I do feel dizzy if I don't stay up on my Water. On the first day I felt dizzy several times but it has gotten better for me. I'm now on day 5 and doing fairly good. I am having trouble getting all my water in. Hang in there hopefully you will start to feel better soon.

I did as well during my pre op diet. Just get all your fluids in and get up slowly. I'm 2 weeks post op and I still get dizzy but it's been tough getting all my 64oz in.

I hope your dizziness gets better soon. Best of luck to you :)

I started feeling a little dizzy during the pre-op and it continued to get worse and worse after the surgery. My PCP cut my BP med in half and it helped some, and then she took me all the way off it and I haven't had any dizziness since. I was probably only down about 20 pounds when she took me completely off it, so sometimes it doesn't take a great amount of weight loss to affect your meds.

hey ready, it will pass. if not, drink something cold and try to take your mind off of it. it does get easier.i recall reading that and thinking (yeah right) but its true. it really is. i now recall head hunger vs real hunger.

I am on day 2 of my liquid diet and I'm just going to be honest, it sucks! I think I decided to quit and not do the surgey at least four times yesterday. I haven't cheated (yet), but it is really hard! I don't even know if it's worth it anymore. The Protein Shakes don't do a thing for me. Yesterday I drank approximately 60 oz of Water and had three shakes. I was dead at 7:30pm and went to bed in tears. I don't know if I can do this for two weeks. :(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
