angelblessed 9 Posted May 27, 2012 Hi. I was banded on the 16th. Everything was going well until I started having some burning feeling at my port incision site. The site started getting hard so I went to see my surgeon on Thursday and he said it maybe an infection or some scar tissue damage under my skin right where the incision is. He says to come bk on 6/1 to reevaluate. He also says as long as its hard right there I can't get any fills, that's heart breaking because my hunger has increased dramatically. I made my appt for my first fill for 6/13 so I'm so sad that I may can't go. Have anyone ever experienced this. It's like a keloid or something under my skin. Trayjay33 138 Posted May 27, 2012 I'm sorry to hear that as there is a risk of Keloid development with any type of puncturing the skin. I have a history of keloids especially my ears so that was one of the first things I asked my Doctor prior to surgery. I now have a keloid at two of the smallest incisions but there is no overgrowth of scar tissue by my port. I do know in speaking to my Doctor that there are treatments that could be done for the scar tissue. Have your Doctor discussed these with you?
